Realization of Who Jesus Is: The first step in the Christian walk is to know who Jesus is.
Christ is God’s light for the world (John 8:12).  He is fully God (Colossians 2:9: John 10:30), and fully Man.  God sent Jesus to atone for our sins, out of His love for us. (1 John 4:10).  Jesus is the only way to have eternal life, and unification, with the Father. It is only through true Faith in Jesus Christ, that we are able to repent of our sins, and receive forgiveness. (John 14:6)

You Must be Born Again: Scripture tells us that even a good and moral man must be spiritually reborn to enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). Faith in Jesus Christ is our only means to a spiritual rebirth (John 3:18).  A spiritual rebirth begins with Faith.  Through Faith, the lost spiritual condition of a person is revealed.  Embracing Faith, in and through Jesus Christ, you will experience conviction and then repentance.  Upon repentance, will come sinsere confession of sins (1 John 1:9).  Then, through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, you will receive forgiveness (Hebrews 8:12).  You will then experience sanctification, bringing a change in our mind through the work of the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:17) and justification.

Abide in Christ:  To abide in Christ, is to follow Christ.  Just as a branch draws it’s life source from the vine, we must stay connected to Christ for Him to flow through us.  We will then bear spiritual fruit.
(John 15:5).  To abide, is to stay, wait, and rest in the presence of Jesus Christ.  By doing so, you will enter into His peace, and recognize His work.  By abiding in Christ, you are making your discipleship with Him apparent, and bringing glory to the Father through your example (John 15:8).

Follow:  Jesus said “Follow Me”, this is in both a literal and spiritual sense.  Desire the life that Jesus offers, and deny self interests and wants that contradict His teaching (Matthew 16:24)  Spend time with Him through prayer, worship, and reading His written word, the Bible.  Join a small group and be discipled on a more intimate level. (Matthew 16:24).  Go forth, and make disciples.  Share the Good News, the Gospel, with others! (Matthew 4:19)
