Getting Connected

Encountering God

The first step is establishing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Asking God our Father for forgiveness, repenting our sins, and surrendering our lives for Christ is the beginning of a deep loving relationship that only Jesus Christ, God our Father and the Holy Spirit can give us. In times of despair, tragedy and trials, He will never abandon us. He wants us to look towards Him for life decisions and guidance. Reading the Bible (The Word of God) Praying and attending Church is the path to living a loving and obediant life for Christ.

" For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  John 3:16

"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto rightousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."  Romans 10:9-10

Equipped for the Journey

Church attendance is a critical step to listen and learn scriptures with others, and receive Biblical life instructions that will provide encouragement for God's Plan of Salvation in your own life. One of the goals of Faith Community is to educate and equip people with the knowledge, skill sets, and tools needed to make an impact and set an example to our families, communities, and world, by spreading God's Word and living our lives for Jesus Christ our Savior.

"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching" Hebrews 10:24-25

"Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common," Acts 2:44

Our "Kids In Action" activity meets twice a month at church. KIA is under the leadership of John and Susie Layman and Rob and Bette Cunningham. They introduce our children to missionary life, study Scripture, make crafts for the needy and learn good health activities. These evenings also allow our children to have fellowship with other children in the church over popcorn, treats and a movie. Many attend this great time as a family while others drop their children off and have a much needed "Date Night".

But Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14

 Faith Community Church is active in local, regional, national and international mission initiatives. Knowing the importance of looking inwardly and making sure that our Church body is growing in Christ, it is also essential that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, look externally and engage in sharing the good news of the Gospel with everyone we can. While discipleship is a key component of the "Great Commission", it is very clear that we are to;

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
